Default Need some technical help real bad.

Alright my tranny swap from automatic to manual is complete, but when we goto crank the car it kicks on for a second and then dies out, but the fuel pump is still running it just kills spark to the spark plugs. It does this using both my automatic ecu and the manual ecu that I bought with the transmission. I thought it could be a mobilizer issue seeing as in im using a diff. ecu and I think I might have to have that ecu flashed to my key but it does the same thing on my auto ecu also. Im still using the automatic engine wiring harness, my next thought is gonna be to swap over to a manual wiring harness but im not sure if thats gonna fix my problem. After I do that im gonna get the ecu flashed and reset.

Got any ideas?

Well that's one hell of an install man first off. Did you check the neutral safety switch? A lot of people don't know but most manuals still have neutral safety's. Also, I'm unfamiliar with the tranny swap. I know some cans I work on, the motor and tranny have to drop together. If you had to disconnect fuel lines, there could be water in them.

Push it so it doesn't blink. Close the car, open it with the keyless entry, try to start it after that. Just trying to help.

i got it after thinking it thru, you say that you changed the ecu so there fore it had your keys security code in it. your keys turns the car over but your new ecu says it aint the right coded key therefore bypassing it and shutting your car off. pogram a new key code thru the dealer and BAMMMN [/code] your manuel tranny wont work with your old ecu because the settings put for automatic.

oh yeah, if you pulled the ecu from another scion, use that scions vin, when you flash the ecu it should be using the vin from the manual car. because it has a different tranny code that the scan tool will recognize.
