New AEM Intake (RED) Installed!! (56k Warning)
Thanks, man. I'll post a short review here too as well so that people can see POVs from two different people.
I've been gluing my eye to the UPS tracking all day today. The moment its gets in, I'm probably gonna leave work early and get it installed, lol. I can't wait!

No it's not C.A.R.B. legal. It's basically the TRD intake with out the bypass valve and the TRD intake isn't C.A.R.B. legal either. No one has been able to get the tC to pass with an itake and probably never will.
I does look good though.

Does the box say anything about it being for the tC that is NOT a sticker? My assumption would be the box is used for just about any intake as generic packaging.
From the link someone posted above:
Model: Scion tC
Year: 2005-06
Part #:21-568
CARB Stauts: No
MSRP: $368.75
NOTE: They do list on the site if something is still Pending. So it would either be Yes, Pending, or No. The tC appears to be one of two that are NOT "yes" or "pending."
I'd trust their site over a possibly generic package.

OK so I guess my answer is: I Dont Know, on the CARB exemption since no one knows if the box or documentation or web site is accurate.
I guess for me it was not really a concern....I JUST wanted it!!!!

i was told if it was carb exempt that a certificate would ahve come with it and you just leave it in your car., but thats prob in here in CA.
I want to get a red intake for my xA, carb legal though. did you order it from online source or from aem directly?

Not to steal light from the other guy, but it doesn't make sense to start my own thread yet.
I had a crapload of work to do today so I got home too late to get it done. I'm gonna cut out of work early tomorrow and get it done.
I'm more upset than anyone else, because I had my hopes set on gettin it in today...dammit!

Not sure about the install on the Injen but this one in my opinion was very easy to install, Everything went together nice and lined up perfectly. It took probably an hour and a half, but had no hang ups or problems anywhere. I have never had an of the AEM products but if this is any indication of how there stuff is I would definatley by there parts again!
OH and I did get to test the power out a few times today, and I will have to admit I am noticing a difference I think my exhaust and the new intake are working really well together. It does fell a little peppier and stronger pulling. Also seems to have a nice sound to it as well.

How's the sound?
I'll be getting mine in and installed today (blue), so I'll post pics and give you word on everything.

but then again, it's considered "Pending" according to one of my favorite sellers on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AEM-C...spagenameZWDVW
ehh, i made this whole carb legal thing a big deal when i got my injen intake.. now it's like whatever to me. i'm definitely interested in this AEM intake as I had one on my RSX-s..

the design looks very simple to install. unlike the 2nd pipe of the injen setup.
Does anyone know the size of the piping on the AEM. Im pretty sure the Injen and K&N are like 3" but dont hold me to it. Im a big fan of AEM and DCSport parts but its no secret that they're website sucks on helpful details and what not about their products.
