Anyone knows the difference between stage I, II, and III turbo?

 

I was going to ask the same thing. You can't have a stage III without also having stages I and II. So what's involved in the other 2 stages compared to stage III?

 

Just totally speculating but I would guess it would go like this.

Stage 1 = Turbo
Stage 2 = Turbo and Intercooler
Stage 3 = Turbo/Intercooler/Fuel Pump/Upgraded Internals/etc.

Why would you assume they are fake? ...That is unless you've seen the car up close or have talk to the owner? ...just wondering.

 

Well they appear to have alacantra (suede) centers - any bride seat with alacantra is fake. Go to Brides website: http://tees-usa.com/welcome.html And look at the very bottom. They can be had very cheap for a pair on ebay, and are still prob a decent seat - just fake.

 

I wonder how much the engine reliability and longlevity went down with 12psi. If its not much its agreat kit without having to do internals. Doing internals is a little too much for me at the moment.

It'll be nice to wait and see how the project turns out.

 

if i'm not mistaken the stages refer to the size of the turbo and the aprox. amount of power. now i could be totaly off on this, but thats what i think, if i'm wrong someone please correct me

 

you are correct about stage 1 & stage 2. but with the stage 3 kit currently they are not changing the internals at all. I'm sure if the engine blows soon they'll redesign it but right now, it's completely stock internals (like the one that is putting down 320fwhp).

I'd like to see a stage 4 coming.

 

i dont think they would redesign anything. if they blow the internals then they know what the kit that is produce can do and not do. theyll just turn down the psi.

If the cars stock internals can handle all that power for a prolonged amount of time, or if the company has a warranty on their kit, then I most defianantly think I'd buy it. Its on the top of my list at the moment, but thats not saying much sense there are so many aftermarket companies coming out with kits for the tC

Doesn't make sense why they'd put fake seats in a car they've already put so much cash in anyway. Besides how is it possible to tell they're fake when we're given one picture that barely shows the headrest? Just wondering.

I dont know why they would use fakes either... but if the center is suede (looks like it to me, especially since that color center isnt available in that seat) it is a fake. Unless they recovered a real seat in alacantra suede, which would be dumb because everyone would assume your seats are still fake. A better picture of the seats upclose would be nice - that way you could tell for sure what kind of fabric they are...
