I doubt anyone makes an aftermarket torque converter for a tC, and no, it's not the same as a shift kit.

If you can speed up the shifts, you don't lose power to the tranny slipping during the shift.

My suggestion, of course.. is to buy a 5 speed.

No tourque converter is different from a shift kit...Tourque converter is for safer launching at higher RPM'sand shift kit is just for harder more precise shifts...check out level10 performance, I think they make a tourqe converter for the 2AZ but Im not too sure

As for the pipes, they are powdercoated, not painted.. a little quick detailer and a rag will keep them clean as anything else.

If you're keeping your engine fairly clean, you won't have any problem keeping the pipes white.

As for the welds, pretty welds are not always strong, and strong welds are not always pretty. That said, I think the manifolds are welded quite well, and look attractive.

We've always been more interested in making a manifold that doesn't crack, versus a manifold that's BLANGIN'. Although, I will say.. the coating makes it look pretty darn good, as far as i'm concerned.

Not a fan of the Porsche turbo lettering, and the piping seems pretty odd, but besides that, looks nice and clean. Glad to see a boosted auto.

Buy the way guys, there are several of us that didn't go to their shop to install this kit. In fact, if I recall, I was one of their first automatic turbos with the revised setup and they worked with me over the phone to resolve minor issues because of this. Kenny even custom fab'ed some braided lines for me to use at no additional cost.

I'm tellin you guys, they will do whatever it takes to make these kits solid performers with an OEM quality fit. It's in the details....just look at it.

p.s....a shift kit would be SICK.
just make sure to take off the nozzle lights and don't buy the type R sticker no matter how tempting it is.

Yea, I gotta agree w/ you on this one...the welds arent all that bad, I have seen a lot worse. They seem like they are strong at the seams although I havent seen one in person yet. And besides, I dont give a sh it how it looks, as long as it performs. As far as Im concerned, the only person lookin under my hood is gonna be me, my father, and a select few anyway

i don't see how it is "very stealthy from the outside" if it has turbo written on the side of it, heck it's probably written on both sides!

For you auto guys wanting straight line performance, a good shift kit with a stall convertor would be very nice! Although with the FWD and the way the car is set up, I wouldnt go with a high stall on it.

Its nice to see more pics of these out! Keep up the good work ZPI.

Thanks!

The Stage 0 Kit retails at $3000, however the current pricing is $2850. It runs at 6 PSI, and is upgradable to Stage 1.

The powdercoated pipes, coated manifold and turbo housings are an available option and priced according to what you want done. If you want something special, we can probably accommodate.

The white pipes is a nice touch. I like it a lot. The turbo emblem will probably get the "ricer" label, because people associate the visibility of an intercooler with a turbo. So, seeing as how there isn't one, I can see people calling rice on it. Of course that is until the roll next to it at the stop light, and then it's tailights from there.

edit....I think the turbo emblem would have been better suited in front of the rear tires, instead of behind the front.

Thanks for the kind words and the support it really does mean a lot. We know we are behind on kits. Trust us we want to get caught up more than anything. We are working on getting the manifolds casted so that we can produce them a lot faster.

Again thanks for the support and look for more cutting edge products from ZPIracing
