Default NEWS: Tanabe Concept G Exhaust Arriving Early Next Week.

The Tanabe Medalion Concept G exhaust system for the 2005+ Scion TC has been on back order for the past 3 months and we are finally getting another container in early next week with the more of these systems. Consumers have showed alot of interest in the product and our dealers have been calling us for updates on the shipment so I'd just like to get the word out that these will be in stock shortly. Below are some pictures for reference. I will keep you guys updated on its arrival and if you guys have any technical questions about the exhaust system or any of our other products please let me know!

Full retail on the Concept G is $390, but you should be able to find it much cheaper from one of our authorized dealers. Check out the dealer locator, to find a Tanabe dealer in your area.

Do these come straight out, or at an angle?

I think this is the one i would like to get.. Any sound clips? Why is it so expensive for the Axle back, when the Cat back system for the Tanabe N1 is 240 shipped???

Also what are you selling it at on here? Shipped?

The muffler exits the exhaust straight back. There are a bunch of soundclips on youtube, but this is one of the better ones that I found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sw1o-MiZDLk

As far as price you should be able to find the product cheaper from an authorized Tanabe dealer. Which catback were you reffering to? We do not have a N1 model.

well at highway speeds i think any aftermarket exhaust has a drone,....basically its like a deep tone at highway speeds, since you're holding your rpm at like 3k+, its just the sound of the exhaust at this speed......imo, it didn't bother me cause the exhaust sounds good.....if you've never had an aftermarket exhaust, you'll be surprised and think it's loud.....but compared to a full catback, it's not loud.....this exhaust was my top choice when i had a tC, and i always recommend it!!!

This is a fantastic exhaust! I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for quiet exhaust and quality product.

I love this exhaust on my tC! As for comments on the exhaust, oldboxman summed it up pretty well by saying:

"The Tanabe Concept-G is an excellent exhaust for those who want a good, deep-sounding exhaust without being too loud. Cabin noise is pretty quiet. Very good fit and finish. If you want something just a little louder than stock with out being annoying than this is the exhaust for you."

In my own words, it's loud, yet quiet at the same time. It has a nice, low, louder than stock rumble, but I can talk normally to my passengers without having the sensation of yelling over the exhaust.

I would seriously encourage anyone interested in a axle-back to check out Tanabe's Concept G exhaust; you will not be disappointed one bit.

Yeah bit fan of tanabe. Though if you guys are interested. The medallion touring is much better IMO. And no i do not work for tanabe, since that axleback is F$%KIN expensive. Waiting to get headers and im pretty sure the touring will keep the rasp to a low.

Tanabe makes some quality parts. I had some questions about their springs and they took the time to answer every one of my noob questions, lol... But yeah, means alot for a company to take the time to help their customers these days! Tanabe!!!!

Default Tanabe Medalion Concept G

the Tanabe medalion Concept G is the way to go. Excellent quality of constrcution clean welds and bends, flanges fit just right and fitment is exact, , excellent visual aesthetic appeal this is a non angle exit exhaust that nicely fills the exhaust notch and looks tasteful. A low deep exhaust note at low RPM that doesnt attract attention of the police variety. As you rev higher it also goes louder, but its mostly a low tone that doesnt sound rapsy or buzzy.
The concept G feture is that it's sound output is engineered to not exceed 93dB, which is 2 lower than the modded exhaust laws in CA call for (95 dB). i know this from personal experience with my civic 18 months ago.

I have had mine for about 2 months and it looks great, weighs about half of the stock exhaust, installed super easy, has a terrific sound when you punch it,( i have an AT) & a modest power increase.
I would defintely recommend it!
