Default Non-Brand name CAI?

hey everyone, just wanted to see your opinion on this. I saw this CAI on ebay for 1/2 the price of the Injen and 1/3 of the price of the TRD CAIs.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06...spagenameZWDVW

just wanted to see if i should get it. I work in business marketing and I know for a fact a lot of the times parts come out of the same factory, they slap on the label and mark up
50-300%.

Which is what TRD does most of the time (ie. TRD springs = Eibach marked up. OBX parts from TRD usually is marked up 100-250%). I used to sell OBX parts and it was DIRT cheap.

I understand there is also certain engineering that may go into these CAI, but wondering if it really matters that much? I only worry that the MAF sensor fits and the filter is of good quality

thanks

i was thinking the same thing, just grab a K&N from kragens.

i also saw bomz on ebay for a little cheaper but the silicon connectors look janky.

i figured 2.5'' T-306 aluminum tube are all the same, air goes through, as long as you have a safe filter you should be good...

No the MAF sensor is different from earlier model years, you need an intake made to fit 2007-08.

Btw got a kick out of the "VVTI" intake , reminded me of how they used to market computer peripherals like keyboards & printers as "Internet-Ready".
