Default Oem Clutch, throw out barrings, pressure plates "BROKEN

Ok so my car is a 2007 TC, and now the clutch, throw out barrings,pressure plate, and possibly the flywheel is all worn out and dead or broken. The Toyota Dealership wants 1300 to fix it all. But from what im thinking i just might buy me the cluth kit from clutchmaster.com in the stage 2. Theres just this one thing that I'am not sure about, the kit is for 2005-2006. Would it be possible for it to fit into my 2007? the kit is only 525 for the stage 2 and the stage 1 kit is 375. Please help, I really don't know what to do at this point..

how about the question WHY... is an '07 have those parts already worn out and/or broken??

the kit will fit.

the kit will fit.. the engine and trans are the same... but how it the hell did you manage to break the entire clutch system on an 07....

there's probably a reason why the dealership is having him pay to fix it than having it fixed under warranty...

I'll second that, how can you have broken all of that? Unless you don't know how to drive a stick and absolutely destroyed it every time you went out driving, it can't possibly be something not covered under warranty.....more info please...

wow...I also have an '07 and haven't had any probs with any of that stuff...but then again i don't come close to beating on it.

well, the clutch assembly/system in a manual is one of the few parts not covered under warranty. Its quite similar to brakes, the wear and tear is dependant upon the way you drive. Legally, if the point of failure can be traced back to some form of manufacturer defect, then Toyota/the manufacturer would be liable. However, in this instance if the damage was a result of user error, the owner/operator is liable....sorry to hear that...

Ohh, while ur at it, if ur going F/I you might as well put in the LSD...if you go to the right shop (aftermarket) they might cut you a package deal clutch/flywheel/LSD install all at once..

you should deffinatly upgrade. I got the Competition Clutch stage 2 and its Forged Ultra Light Weight Flywheel and man they make a world of difference. Fast revving and oh yea I can do burn outs all day long with out slipping.

I'm waiting eagerly for my clutch to begin to fail. I want to install a new flywheel, and I'd have a hard time justifying the costs to the wifey. "But honey, they're going to be in there replacing the clutch anyway..."

I had a good excuse too. My motor blew up and it was a good time to change it out anyway at no extra labor cost when they did the motor swap.

You still have the turbo? Ever find the problem?

Naw I didn’t find any problems with it. I sent the E- manage back with the turbo to greddy to check it out.
