Default OEM header re-install

I pulled my DC Sports header and re-installed my stock header and learned a few things -

1 - There was a whole lot of WD-40 from the removal still on the stock header. It must've smoked for half an hour.

2 - Torquing the 12mm bolts onto the torx studs to spec (27 lbs I think) may cross thread the studs and keep them from screwing on or off. I've got two that did that. They're holding the header on tight with the three that didn't get cross threaded. I'm not sure if it's because the thickness of the dc header was less than the stock header or if the studs are weakened from the process, but it's something to watch out for.

3 - WD-40 dripping into your eyes is bad.

4 - The OEM header weighs a ton (though that's not new information).

I'm leaving the heat shield off until I get new studs., though imagine it'll be pretty darn hot with the cat back in the engine compartment. Anyone else run without the heat shield and has anyone else had a cross threading issue with those studs?

lol

#3 was nothing we didn't know before, but it was a very effective reminder of the fact.

lol #3 is a good one
but ya, installing header can get you some small problem, but if youre careful enough, should be a piece of cake.......at least comparing to installing 350Z's header lol
