Default OFFICIAL ENGINE CODE NAME FOR THE SUPERCHARGED 2AZ ENGINE...

I understand there is allot of toyota noobs on here but I was curious if we should keep the traditional naming of a toyota supercharged engine. All toyota engines that are factory supercharged end in ze. So our cars would technically be a 2AZ-ZE. I have heard some people calling them 2AZ-SC's but I did not feel that was really correct. Let me know what ya think! I like the 2AZ-ZE!!! That makes it even more of a sleeper for non toyota guys have no idea what ze is!

that's incorrect. the official name would actually be 2AZ-FZE. that would mean its a second generation AZ series engine, with a fuel economy head, EFI. and the Z in the middle would mean its supercharged. u would have to keep the F in the name to state what type of head it has. example, 3S-GTE, 3rd generation, S series engine, performance head (G) EFI, and the T is for Turbo. a better is example is the 4AG-GZE, which is a 4th gen A series engine with performance head EFI, and the Z for the supercharger. so the official name is 2AZ-FZE, correct me if im wrong.

Ah yes, you would be correct Guess my brain was trying to get rid of the F portion haha....

One correction though.. The 4ag supercharged engine is designated the 4agze not 4ag gze. n/a the engine is a 4age

Why are you simply reposting what no one laughed at before?, get off here and stop being a dork. Besides that you do not count, you do not even have a sc kit or even a turbo kit! You have a ground wire kit woohoo! Why do you keep post whoring..?

Ok guys, besides the rude comments by sc haters. I think it is easy to say you guys like it old school and even though I botched the poll topic by one letter, We will call the engine the 2AZFZE! I like it. Think I am going to look for a licence plate for the car with it haha!

The engine code wouldn't change. The S/C isn't factory installed and is purchased after the sale of the car. But for the sake of argument, 2AZ-FZE (even though it's technically not).
