Default Oh Lord, I have rasp!!!

OK, guys I installed a crap load of things over the weekend but the one thing that is bothering the heck out of me is how damn loud and obnoxious my exhaust is. Its so dang raspy after I installed my Tsudo 4-2-1 header and S-pipe. Here is my current setup. I have the Tsudo 4-2-1 header with the S-pipe, stock midpipe and HKS Axleback Exhaust. I need any information or knowledge from you guys to help me get rid of this weed wacker sound! Ewww, nasty.

hahaha no i mean dont get a hot dog looking cherry bomb useless POS. If you look at the other rasp threads ppl have tried installing 2, even 3 hot dogs and are still raspy. My favorite is the vibrant performance reso's. I'd recommend them anytime. They sure cured my rasp.
I wouldnt do anything to the stock midpipe tho, you will need that to get inspected. Are you planning to get/make an aftermarket midpipe? Those headers are craziness if you still have rasp with the stock midpipe, cat and all.

Im willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of this horrid rasp. Should I cut out the stock resonator on my stock midpipe and have a vibrant or aero resonator put in place of it. I dont plan on buying a midpipe unless it is what can cure my rasp, id rather modify my stock one!

Since it's easier the second time around, it will be easier to remove, and you can just sell it. No more rasp, no noticeable change in power, and money back in pocket. Problem solved.

the HKS exhaust really shows rasp. i say change the axle back. and yes a header does make a change in power. why would he want to get rid of the extra power?

I actually feel a difference in power, which even my gf and bestfriend felt as well! I dont want to get rid of the header or the axleback. Im curious to know the tricks people have done with there midpipes to get rid of the rasp. The midpipe is the only stock piece from the header back! I dont know if I should get a high flow cat or a vibrant resonator or both or what to do! If I can find my ladys camera ill try to post a vid! :D Thanks

You also dont have headers which cause the rasp

I have pretty much the same setup as you. I liked the way my exhaust used to sound before the header, but I woudnt put the stock back on though.

ebay resonator FTW.

i had a straight 3 inch pipe and you can imagine how loud that is.
welded on a ebay resonator, exhaust sounded as quite as TRD after.

I got the same header w/ the tsudo mid n swapped trd for tanabe concept g axleback and added the ar-25 inline with the tsudo res. Still raspy just so u know, but if i had the money would swap out stock tsudo res for a longer one than my ar-25 if could fit or even just one much longer (and better) and drop both my resonators as ive heard better results from that, but ya, therell always be some raspiness with header under load, im just glad i have somewhat minimized mine.

if you get rid of the second cat on the midpipe its goona make the exhaust louder......
not much you can do at this point, i mean you can cut the stock cat and resantor out of the midpipe and get either to really long resantors or get a hi-flow cat and a 22 inch resonator or so,ill take some of the rasp out but no all,and it wont be as loud,

and another think is you can put the silencer in the exhasut that will quiet things down also......

its sucks adding a header cause even though you might feel some power but then youll have to modify the exhaust exhaust just to make it sound good again....
