Everyone, helpful info.. thank you

Question: Mobil 1 15W-50 Extended Performance is specifically designed for Turbo and Super Charged vehicles. What would be the pros and cons of running that?

True, but that list isn't made up, is it?

I was also told some more of the Dodge linup is getting Mobile 1 OEM.
A buddy of mine just picked up a Magnum with the Hemi and they said something
about Mobile 1 for the higher end cars.

Wait a minute, i changed mine at 1500k to mobil 1 syn and now i am at 15k and i just got that 15000 supersyn tech mobil 1 5w30 put in.....so you saying my rings arent seated properly?

THen why would scion dealership done the oil change for me when i took them the oil and told them to change it?
WOuld they not know of this? ANd prewarn me of this?

Also anybody else running the new mobil line like that 15000k miles one cause i was wondering if they really do last that long?

thanks

3000 mile oil change intervals are unnecessary. The engine is made for 5000 miles, so unless you're actually racing it all the time, or live in a place with constant dust storms, 3000 miles is just a waste. If the car had 100,000 miles on it, then yeah, I could see 3000, but not any time soon.

Also, synthetic plus 3000 mile intervals is doubly wasteful. You could easily run full synthetic for 10000 miles, with a 5000 mile filter change interval with no ill effects.
