That the Ingen gives you much more HP...is it really that big of a deal...should I really send it back when it arrives and get the Injen?

Eh....CAI is not for HP gain.....the claim to fame hp numbers may as well be titled "BS". Get what you like...basically it's pretty much a cool "whooshing sound" and cosmetic.

Still fun to have though.

How do you figure the Injen makes more power? If you're talking about that one test then, the power differences are all within a margin of error AND the test wasn't done as scientifically as possible which, admittedly, is a tough thing to do.

Just keep the K&N and then head over to www.doctorisotope.com and get the CAI fender mount panel.

The K&N's bracket can break because it was pretty poorly designed.

Also, this piece dresses the engine bay a little, makes it more clean.

All intakes usually state that. In California everything cool or fun is always not street legal......gotta love it! lol

SELL THE K&N, DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR CAR

that being said, the k&n is nothing but trouble, trust me i have had two of them

it will break the bracket that it is on, and tho it does not affect the car, the intake will rattle and shake until it breaks free from the mount inside the fender, and then it will rattle to holy hell.

the only intake that i would even consider buying is the AEM/TRD, Fujita, or Injen.

also, if you are going to go with these, make sure you check out Doctorisotope.com for a fender mount, helps the rattling that shall come with your k&n

there maybe be a problem with the mounting bracket on the k&n cai for the tc..

however...

every OTHER k&n i have ever owned has been pheonominal!! The xB and xA cai from k&n pwns all the other intakes!!

plus their filters are magnificent!!

I was hearing that when my Typhoon was getting installed. BTW I didn't think it was CARB legal, but it is. If you fix the mounting points, I think you'll like K&N.

Yep.. bracket will break. Terrible design really when you look at it. And it is the bracket made to the motor mount, not the intakes bracket. So when it breaks, you better get out your soft/thin metal welding skills or you are going to have a floppy CAI from there on out.

And as mentioned, no noticeable gain. Dont go by those "tests", as you can punch holes in all of thier methods.

yea its the bracket on the motor mount, not on the intake. i have injen and it snapped off after a couple thousand miles, i dont think it really matters which intake you have. and i just purchased the fender mount from dr isotope the other day and now it is really solid.
