Hi, just bought the F5 Air off someone and i think i might be missing a couple of things especially the instrutions...

Seeing how this is my first CAI install and no instructions i considered it an okay install... but i have some problems...

1st how many vibra-mounts am i suppose to have???

I only had 1, at first i had no idea where to place the vibramount thingy so i looked up the instructions for aem and noticed they put the vibra moutn on where a bolt for teh old intake box was... I put it there and it fit ok and after i install the pipe to the engine i noticed the the vibra mount and the intake were at slightly diff angles.... anyways i force the intake into the screw and screwedit down and it fit ok i guess....

next up the cold air part was a pain to install...HOW COME THE COLD AIR PIPE HAS NO MOUNTS???
it just snaked thhough to the ahortram part and is held in place by the hose and the clamp..... I'm worried what if it comes off from vibration...

next thing that bothered my most of all the the sensor thingy thats before the MAF sensor, in the old intake box u just pop it up and it comes out then take a screw driver and unscrew it...

how the hell does it fit into the fujita???, i had to improvise and use a L shaped steel thingy and screwed that into the fujita mount and screwed the other end into the sensor.... i'll take a pic of the mounting tomorrow....

Can someone with the fujita CAI take pics on how everything is mounted or provide me with a isntruction sheet in pdf file???


also i disconnected the battery for the 3 hours it took me to install the intake( hey its my first time with no instructions) when i reconneted everything and started the car and had it idle for 15 mins to learn the new settings... i noticed something...

THE ENGINE IS TOO LOUD!!! i noticed the sound coming from the headers area... a sound like a crankshaft or bycicle chain being turned or spooled.... mechanical sounding... not a squaling or whistling sound... it was liek that for like 10mins but later the sound died down a bit but still noticable... anyways nothign was wrong the CEL did not go off everything was normal except for the windows na sunroof not working but i reseted those...

The engine is deff louder than before... i stil get that sound so i was worried but my uncle's 04 camry se had the same sound just not as loud...


I started reving the car and took it for a spin on the city and on the highway... when i got back i noticed the sound was stil there but alot more quiet( maybe i just got use to it or perhaps im paranoid... but my mom who often uses teh car also noted the sound...

is this normal? all my friends say it;s normal, the engine is just being fed extra air thats why the headers and the engine is louder....
