Default People who have TWM Short Shifter

I scoped the site and noticed they have a Stage 1 and Stage 2. I'm wondering what people have been getting, and if anyone has tried both and can compare/critique.

Also, any suggestions as to the cheapest retailer around?

Thanks

i think more people have stage 2. more reduction in throw, and a lot lower.

I got the Stage 2 and love it. I guess it comes down to preference - i.e. do you mind your shifter sitting low (dirty minds stop it) then get the stage 2. But if you don't then stage 1. I'm only 5'4" so it doesn't seem low to me, but may for others. Oh and TWM is the only dealer I think.

I'm in the same boat. My next purchase will be a short throw shifter. Kudos....

Just installed it with the help of my wife and I must say that was B!TCH to install! I dunno if Toyo decided to make some of the parts harder to take off in my car or what not. But I did get it in and got it to work. I used a lot of lube to get it nice and smoothe. I would not recommend this job for a novice that doesnt know much about cars.

Overall Impression:
The throw is MUCH shorter, though it takes quite a bit more effort to move the stick to the left and to the right. But it will take getting used to. It feels real nice and smoothe. I really recommend this to people who are gonna be 1/4 miling their cars.

^^^I just got mine yesterday and installed it last night so I'll post pics later today. I got the stage 2 which was about 2 1/2" shorter than stock but I'm using the OBX classic leather shift **** which is really long so it worked out. I love the feel when I shift plus the short throw seems like using a joystick.

A bit of a pain to remove the stock shifter but it was well worth it IMO after the TWM was in place..

Here's a couple of pictures of mine with the OBX classic leather **** which is really tall so it balances out. This is in neutral position.
