why would you put old gas on a new rebuilt motor common now,its common sense, rebuilt motor= new gas, i hope you didnt use old oil also.......

The ethanol has probably separated from the gas and because ethanol is heavier than gas it goes to the bottom and your engine is sucking almost pure ethanol. Ethanol has this fun property of dissolving plastics. This makes e15 a major problem in the boat industry where gas sits while the boat is stored(by stupid people). The ethanol dissolves everything from fiberglass gas tanks to fuel lines to injectors. Then the dissolved plastic gunks up the engine internals causing premature engine failure.

Bottom line: get that stuff out.

realistically i dont think its the gas....i have seen many cars fire up after sitting for more than 5 years on the same tank.

if the car turns over but wont start you probably haven't hooked something back up..

check to see if your fuel rail/injectors are providing fuel. and check to see if your fuel pump is providing proper pressure.

if they are than it could be likely someone messed up on resetting your crank or cams to top dead center when you installed your timing chain.

or your not getting spark from your coil packs.

and last but not least check all of your engine and chassis grounds including the ecu or aftermarket ems wiring.

hope it helps

yeah yeah yeah!
