ZPI has them and I've heard of 0ne or two installed... it's just that the install/removal is somewhat intensive and time consuming, making it not the most popular for the normal modder and somewhat pricey to have done at a shop... think 500+ for the install, on top of the P&P.

Japanese car manufacturers have decent flowing heads from the factory. your not gunna see gains like you do on an old chevy pushrod V8. so this would be a waste of cash if your keeping it N/A.

but if your running any forced induction, a good port and polish is very beneficial...even if you only improve the flow characteristics in a small way.

gasket match and smooth any rough surfaces. get that exhaust side looking like a mirror. while your in their and the head is off you should send it to the machine shop and get a 3 angle valve job. if you plan on keeping it N/A you might as well have the face resurfaced for a little higher compression.

you might see around 20-30 for all the above if your lucky.

I wouldn't know. but if it were me I just find a head at junk yard and do it myself. even if I screw it up at least I stll the orginal one.

maybe find another aluminum dirt cheap head (off of whatever you got) and pratice on it.

ha - are you very experienced or are you unexperienced and leading people into believing this can be done by the unexperienced?

PnP should be done via an experienced person that has been in the scene for a while. There are tricks and tips that an experienced person will know. Don't think about doing this yourself guys (unless you know what you are doing).

Absolutely correct. This is NOT something you want to attempt yourself. Big companies that are well known for good P&P jobs actually spend a lot of money on testing to come up with a final design for each head. It's not like you can just take a knife and go at it. Please be careful what you do when getting head and who you get it from

The ZPI stage 1 head give the car 20-30whp stock which is great in opinon, and that's not even tuned yet! Low 14's look better everyday especially with ZPI's new intake manifold hopefully debuting this year!

Gains with Stage 1 ZPi Head is advertized as 21whp gain without tune, the other (Stage 2) it's been said to be at least 32whp without tuning. I would be careful with this numbers but they seem somewhat realistic.

I thought all you had to do to PNP is open your intake up and pour a little sand in there and the sand will do the rest. It dosent sound all that hard to me.

I've ported a couple heads for other 4-cylinders. As long as you are careful and use the correct tools you can do it yourself. The key is knowing what you are doing and having the right tools.
