Default Power to a automatic

I got a tc off my cousin and its a 07 tc, but its a automatic. Not my choice but hey a gift is a gift. What would you guys recommend for some increased performance for my car? I realize that since its a auto I wont be the fastest car on the block, but what are some add-ons that could increase the performance? Figure I would ask you guys since you know what your talking about. Any help would be appreciated.

exhaust...is your choice. (sound)
intake --- injen
headers---Weapon R
Pulleys---- NST
just do some reaseach and you will find tons of info on these product and look in classified section for good deals on these parts. And yes these mods will be noticable.....w/ pulleys u will have quicker response, etc etc.

Ugh. I hate the sound of an exhaust on an Automatic.
Will they be noticible? yeah they will. but honestly. is it worth the money? eh. idk. I got an exhaust mainly for looks and sound. Just from that I felt a little more power. If you really want power get a turbo. idk how well that's gonna work with an auto tho.

I looked up headers and what is the difference or reason between a 4-2-1 and a 4-1? Which one would be better or is right for what i am looking for? I am a newbie to all of this Thanks again for all your help

Ya I saw that but I dont know how that would work on a automatic. I am guessing not to its full potential.

ALso what kind of nst pully? underdrive, overdrive, cr lite crank, WP lite water pump, or 20%alternator and WP lite water pump kit.

What are the differences?

the number represent how the header pipes come back together
for example

a 4-1 is all 4 pipes on the header come together at the same time. IE DC Header.
4-2-1 is where the header goes from 4 pipes. to 2 pipes. then finally to 1 pipe. IE the Tsudo header. These tend to be better too.

Honestly. If its an auto I wouldn't even bother with power mods. Kind of a waste of money if you ask me. I'd rather spend that money on a b!tchin system or something.

I already got 2 fi subs, new rims, tint, lip kit, lowered, and interior lighting do to my cousin adding most of it already. What else would you spend the money on?

a turbo... lol. like idk. NA tc is pretty slow as it is. And the automatic is significantly slower. I just couldn't justify spending that kinda money on something that might help you keep up with a stock manual tC.

a turbo will work on an auto. there are limitations in the power sure, but it's not unheard of. it's been done before and will be done again. the only problem with an auto is the tranny starts to slip at about 250 hp. with minor tranny work, turbo application is fine, within reason like anything else. the car wasn't necessarily meant for 400/500 hp anyways....but go for it. turbo would be cool.

exhausts are the same no matter what the transmission, and if you dont like the sound of auto shifting that bad then just shift yourself with the l 2 3 d aka gears 1 2 3 4. pick one you like, prepare to add resonators for rasp, save mad money and get an ebay intake for under 90 bucks for the same thing, technically 4-2-1 headers add a little more hp but this is an auto tc and the cash or sound isnt worth it IMO

and turboing an auto will cost u a lot and cause u a lot of tranny problems if u push it,

searching helps too

man don't apologize. these forums are here for help and whatever, aside from just for having fun. the first thing anyone ever seems to do is throw out the good ol' "search next time" or "searching helps" comments....not cool really. it's laziness and apathy on both sides...which really doesn't help anyone. but regardless, since there is a new topic that someone takes the time to post with need of help....replying to the post just to say to use the search feature is just plain lame.

headers... heh
make sure you do some research before you decided whether or not the hassle of modifying the midpipe to lessen the can o bees larnmower sound and freshening up the stink it makes in the car, not sure if its really work doing on an auto tc?

Automatic would not do so well for long with a turbo just due to how they are built......
My wife has Weapon R SRI intake,Weapon R Header, modified piping for the exhaust...and soon to come NST pullys and GReddy Ti muffler.

I am still waiting for the guys with a 5 speed to blow me away with all their speed.......auto is really not much if any slower in real life........in fact in all the times my buddies and I have got on it in our cars they cannot pull away from me,not I them.....

Build the car how you want and enjoy it........remember it is really just a sexy Camry.......if you want a fast car you gotta buy a fast car.....or build one.
