yes define power shifting, some thinks its when u slap the clutch shift hard and then drop the clutch immidiately...this is not power shifting

POWERSHIFTING is what honda boys do since their trans are interchangable and cheap a real POWERSHIFT is: banging the car into the next gear with out the use of the clutch at all

my def. of powershifting is when you don't let go of the gas & press the clutch down and shift . if that ^ was the definition of powershifting i'd need a new tranny not clutch lol . dumb honda boys .

sorry if i used the incorrect phrase or term ? guide me .

spend ur money on parts to make u faster so you wont murder your clutch and tranny and waste more money for something that doesnt help your car "be faster"

thats not powershifting, that would be referred to as "no-lift shifting" at best

but that isn't really terrible thing to do. when i'm going hard on the car, i lift between gears, but i never come 100% off the throttle so the RPMS stay up between shifts, and you don't get any throttle lag once you engage the next gear. keeping the throttle down all the way just causes excessive wear on the clutch friction material and flywheel synchros and transmission once the gear is engaged.

yea im on my little baby fake te37's ....

im debating on selling them and picking up a nice set of clean stocks... but i love those little wheels... I have to restore them they are busted... maybe this weekend ill start lol

smaller wheels with good tires will be a better option if your looking to be a little faster... the stock wheels are very heavy... even the 16" spec wheels are a better upgrade... of if you can pick up a set of 15" steelies.. you will notice your car is much quicker.. but you will sacrifice a little bit in cornering but not much.

ive debated on going again... but i dont anyones gf leaning on my dam car like last time and me get ____y lol... plus everyone always calls me out to race... can't a nig. chill w/e everyone trying to see how fast they are compared to me..lol especially when they are boosted trying to race an NA car lol

I would consider that "full Throttle shifting" as stated previously power shifting is not using clutch. you slightly release gas when you slam it into next gear and then slam back on the gas. ********** HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU LIKE YOUR TRANNY WORKING**************

lol.. i saw some 16" te's not to long ago on nasioc.com for a good price... im sure they are still for sale.. not many ppl are wanting that size anymore in a 5x100

yes that guy with his friend and gf... that cobalt is not stock... i dont care what he says... i knew it wasnt stock when i heard the car turn on it was obivous... but i raced him either way... i think they were both shocked at how well i kept up with them until he hit full boost... i knew he was going to win... but it was fun looking at their faces thinking it was going to be an easy kill against a non boosted tc... im sure if ronnie had his car their he would ask for a run also...but i know he uses a bottle... and using a bottle against me is the only way anyone can win with out a turbo

I'm scratching my head here because I can't see the advantage to shifting without lifting...only excessive wear on your drivetrain parts. For the split second you are in neutral when shifting to the next gear, if you lift, the engine speed isn't going to drop below the next gears starting speed. So either way you are forcing the engine to slow down with the clutch. It's just going to be much more abusive forcing the engine to slow down from redline as opposed to being closer to rev matching if you lift.
