Default Precision Magnaflow Catback muffler probs !!

ok i purchased the Precision Magnaflow Catback muffler , and got it installed the other day. There was a prob w/ the muffler. Not only was the muffler hand made, it also came w/ one certain peice (i forgot the name of it), but i hade to buy another one from the shop. Also, when the installation was done. The installer told me that there were certain parts through the piping were they were just a little bit overdone. Certain bends that they had put on that shouldnt have been bent. Also, hes like watch this. He shook the muffler while it was on the lifter and it moved around alot. It was hitting a peice. He said he had to put in one washer because alot of parts were to close to other parts. But said that its still hits. So if i hit big bumps ill hear it hit underneath. Also another thing is that when were talking about that i looked behind me and notice water leaking from one of the connecting pipes. He's like wow i didnt even notice that. And he cuffed his hands around the area and said air wasnt coming through, so not to worry about it. He said he could fix these probs with a heat torch but would cause a early stage of rusting. What do you guys think i should do ? Go somewhere else to see what is the case? Notify prescision? or what ?
thanks
-roland

Of course notify Precision. If there's a problem, they'll take care of it. That would be the logical choice, IMO. What do you do with any product that has a problem? Contact the place you got it from.

well yeah it sounds fine ... but the installer told me that the bending was all hand made. Not through a machine. And then theres the loose piping. Then also, theres the leak .. I mean yea it sounds greatttt. but those 32probs are making me mad

Water would be condensation in the exhaust. Its normal for some water to drip off the exhaust tip. But water and no air??? Maybe the water was from something else......A/C??

I would have stopped the install and called.

Was it missing a hanger?

Water can leak thru a pinhole w/o air being noticable.

rolstc has called me and all confusion was taken care of. (Sigh of relief)

Very cool guy and I hope the installer will take care of the installation of the back hanger. The tC catback system was supposed to have a certain bracket installed, so that there was no movement, and it was not.

Every exhaust system that leaves precisionmuffler.com is test fitted for perfect installation. I do apologize for any confusion and hope things are worked out with your installer.

Now my Exhaust is Precision Muffler, Magnaflow catback also...I recieved it from GABE..and I started to put it on myself..but I wanted the piping to be welded..instead of U-Bolts...So I took it to a local muffler shop and they put it on the car for me..and the piping did hit a bit on the rear suspension..Like inthat picture above...So he told me that the piping didnt even fit exactly right in the spot its supposed to be..but this guy was such a **** dude..he just cut the pipiing from the cat to the muffler and he did his own piping..after her was done i loved it..I felt better knowing it was welded..

Heres a pic of the Exhaust under neat h and all..

thanks GABE Im still loving my Exhaust..Everyones asking about it..and Im sending them your way.

Under neath suspension:

Thanks for the pics ScionTCTrav, if rolstc posts pics, you will see that have since added flanges for better fitment. I wanted everyone to have an easy time installing and not worry about leakage. We are all about happy customers. :D
