problem with draxas muffler

Default problem with draxas muffler

The problem is i just installed my draxas system and injen cai and my draxas muffler is tapping either my crossmember or something underneath. it is dark so i can't tell. has anybody else had this problem??????

can someone help on this. The tapping is annoying and i don't want it to wear a hole in this expensive ___ exhaust system..

it's probably the black exhaust guard.

see if u could move the heat shield around and check all ur hinges bushings make sure everything is tight

i had this problem. To fix it do the following:
take the exhaust off (the last part after the midpipe)
take off the heat shield and see if you see rub marks. On mine you could see tiny marks. Take a rubber hammer and bang it like the girl next door. Then put it back on and see what happens. Since you are putting a larger pipe then stock AND the 1/8th movement back and forth of a vibrating pipe (so thats 1/4inch movement total) ... its causing the pipe to very very so mildely touch the heat shield. This is how I fixed my issue - hope it helps.

thanks for the tips... I found what the problem was... My exhaust was hitting the crossmember. I wrapped some header wrap around the crossmember and problem solved...
