Default Pulley Advice

So everyone is telling me to buy a new pulley for my tC, but i dont know the differences between them. I heard that the ZPI one is good and also the NST pulley is good. I also dont know what the difference between them are though (like underdrove and overdrive and stuff) please help my Pulley Nubness. Thank you

Have you done the research on pullies? The stock crank pulley was engineered as a crucial part in the engine but no one has had a confirmed or even suspected incident of pulley damage. That information is out there for searching so we won't bring up that can of worms again.

So you're going to get a pulley: they're all pretty much the same. IIRC, the ZPI v2 pulley is the lightest one out there at a few ounces. I would go with ZPI as they're supporters of the Scion community moreso than NST is.

heres some general info:
underdrive will cause the wheel/pulley/equipment to turn slower b/c a larger pulley is used. Overdrive is direct opposite. Crank pulley on the tC has 2 choices I believe, light weight stock sized and underdrive.

LOL, it's actually the opposite. The underdriven is smaller than OEM, thus making the other pulleys turn slower.

I say go with NST because they are pulley experts. They offer more pulleys for the Scion community than anyone else. They also have a lot of information on their website regarding underdrive, overdrive and all that stuff. www.NonStopTuning.com

I've used their products for years and years with no problems. They have awesome prices and great service. You can find them on AOL, NSTonAIM and chat with them.

NST 100%. Not one of my customers have ever been dissatisied of any NST product. The pulleys are top notch and do exactly as advertised with perfect fitment.

The shift link kit is great as well lol... I'm sportin that on my car and it helps eliminate mis-shifts.
