Default pulley question

i been looking for a little while now and i cant find a clear answer.
ok there is 3 pulley right, i know the crank is the main one.
you gain the most hp from that one, or gain same from all 3?
what estimated gains from each? is it really worth getting all pulleys?

I just have the crank pulley because i know when you start putting the other ones one you loose power to your electronics, A/C etc...

there are 3 types of pulley.
Lite weight, Over drive, and under drive,
If you get the Over drive pulley for the alternator, You will get MORE power for your electronics.

In a very very small nuttshell...

1. All NST pulleys are roughly 70% lighter than the OEM pulleys they replace. The more NST pulleys you use, the more weight reduction. The more weight reduction, the better the throttle response. Having said this... obviously the crank pulley is the heaviest of all the pulleys and thus, changing to the NST crank pulley will provide the most noticeable gains when compared to the rest of the pulleys.

2. The electrical system runs just as well, or better than stock, when a full (3pc) NST kit is used. NOT slower, NOT weaker, etc. Any arguments other than this are simply not valid. PERIOD.

3. Other accessories work very well when NST pulleys are used. Customers using full NST kits have reported no issues of any kind when using NST pulleys.

Not all pulleys are created equal. Not all pulleys are NST pulleys. Theories, myths, and horror stories associated with cheap, low quality, knock-off pulleys DO NOT apply to NST products. Period!!!

are you inplying the to the over or under driven pulley sytems because if you under drive your cars elecrical system it is going to perform weaker how could it perform better, if you Overdrive it i would believe it would perform better but not underdriven

75% of power gained from all 3 of them is just from the underdrive crank pulley

when replacing all three pulleys with NSTs, is it true that the belt for the crank have to be replaced with a different size while the alternator, etc uses the OEM belts? Thanks.

Not exactly -- U only have to change the belt if u get the smaller crank pulley.

Alt. and water pump dont have their own belts

thanks i was jsut looking at the NST belt guide page and saw that the crank would require something different. Im looking to get the underdrive pulley, etc, but need to wait till spring and find someone to install them. Thanks.

yes, underdrive crank pulley needs a new belt, the other two are the same size, so you can run that stock belts...
now if you get the lightweight pulley you dont need it, just with the underdrive
