Default Question?

So, I had a question somebody may be able to answer. When i'm driving down the road, a straightaway, when i let go of the gas, i can still feel the engine grabbing like it is downshifting. Is this normal?

When you take your foot off the gas, the car is supposed to slow down. Yours is working as it's supposed to, which is 'safe'.

no need to be dicks. it was a simple question and YES, you did. I was just clearing it up, and for your information I have driven a car before. So don't be douche bags, it was a question. Not everyone knows a whole lot about cars, which is why people like ME ask questions. Since when was it wrong to ask questions? Thank you and shut up.

Calm down, damn!!! No need to get ur panties in a knot!! lol. The way you worded your question is the reason why you got all those sarcastic remarks. Maybe if you worded the question differently, those "douche bags" wouldn't of answered like they did. Also, they never said it was wrong to ask questions, so don't go assuming they did cuz then ur just gonna create alot of problems and nothing's going to be solved. And to answer ur question, yes that is normal because when u let off the gas, u still have it in gear. So since it's still in gear, it's going to slow ur car down which is called engine breaking. If u have a 5-speed, this will make ur brake pads last longer by downshifting when u want to slow down. I think u can also do this in a automatic by putting it in 3, then 2 and let the engine slow itself down, somebody correct me if im wrong.

My bad, once again, i'm ignorant with cars. And the people that replied made me sound stupid, so I had a right to say what I said, and thank you man, I appreciate it.
