I know this has been posted many times, and I have searched all over scionlife, yoursciontc, and tctunerz.

I am just trying to re-assure myself of what I am doing, and I would like some feedback.

I am wanting to upgrade my exhaust to the axleback CC with either magnaflow or borla muffler.

I want something that is not ricey or loud just deep and throaty.

Could you all please let me know recommendations for which muffler and if Aluminized or stainless steel? Also would it sound different either way?

Im not going to be mean like most everyone else so I'll give you my honest input. I would go stainless so that it doesnt rust as much if at all and for looks. Most stuff you throw on 4bangers has the high possibility of sounding ricey but Im gonna say that Borla probably wont sound that bad. But definitely Borla over Magnaflow performance and sound wise.

I personally do not like the magnaflow...its very loud and obnoxious and raspy.

 

if you want to keep your exhaust for a long time... stainless steel is my opinion.

 

the borla muffler is stainless steel and yes I would go with stainless piping as well.
