I have just one more question...I am searching on ebay for intake for scion tc and its mostly showing the ones for 06 not 08 so would 06 fit in 08 tc?

Where can you get the bypass? Cause I found a good deal for a used Injen CAI for 06 Tc for like 100 bucks

Telling ya from experience, dont even worry about a BPV. You wont have to worry about hydrolocking..

 

The BPV Is a "switch" I believe, when the bottom end fails to work, the intake converts to a short ram at the location of the BPV, not sure if thats right though.

 

yup, ita a diaphram that stays closed until little or no air starts comming through the filter, then the engines vac. pulls the bypass open.

also, you shouldn't tell people that they don't have to worry about hydrolocking, you never know what type of situation they get into. i'd rather be safe than sorry.
