Default question about my s-pipe

i have ordered an invidia s-pipe and i went out today to check my stock one, which i thought was supposed to be just bolted on, and i find that appears to be welded to my midpipe... is this the case? if not, how do i go about getting off my stock s-pipe?

its not welded on. there two bolts connecting it to the header and two bolts connecting to the midpipe. theyre both size 9/16 i believe. other than that you have the o2 sensor you need to remove which is a 15/16 size.

just take those off and put the new one. no welding anywhere...

unless a muffler shop hated you and welded it on it should just be bolted with a flange and donut gasket.........you have to jack up car and put on stands to get in there to work to get it out.

the nuts for the bolts were welded onto the pipe with mine. so unless it came with its own hardware you will have to buy some new ones. i couldnt find any 9/16 size nuts so i ended up buying new hardware size 3/8. i figured it was close enough...

Just two. For the ones connecting to the midpipe. The ones connecting to the headers are the spring loaded ones...

you let a muffler shop weld it on? they probably thought it did not fit so they cut and weld just in case your header cracked from forcing the spipe to bolt-in. not only that, they want you to pay them agian t take it off
