Default Question About Resonators

I am installing a header back exhaust in my tc soon and am looking to eliminate as much rasp as possible. I currently have a Greddy EVO2 axle-back and will be adding a Megan Racing Header, s-pipe, and plan to make a custom midpipe with no cat. I am looking at installing a 30" Cherry Bomb Muffler in the midpipe to eliminate rasp. Will this work? If possible I will add more resonators. Such as 2 18" instead. I will be going with full 2.5" piping. If anyone has a sound clip of a Greddy EVO2 with header and a custom midpipe please post it. I can't find any good vids.

Whats the cost on one of the magnaflow's? I was looking at the cherry bomb's because it's my understanding they are basically the same thing used at muffler shops as resonators. Plus I get them at cost.

Well I have a tc up in they air at work right now. It looks like I could easily fit 2 18" cherry bomb's on the midpipe with no issue. I figure 36" should eliminate any rasp. Anyone used the cherry bombs for resonators before? Or any other glasspack for that matter?

i have the evo2 as well... and i did have the dc header but it was WAAAAAY TOO LOUD!!!
so i took the header out and with just the evo2... sounds lovely...
i missed the loudness so i ordered the megan midpipe
ill try to get vids.

btw if power is ur main concern (tho it may be a small gain) go for the header... if not, dont get it.... highly suggest u dont get header... (not sure about installing the resonators tho)
take it for what its worth = $0.02

I already bought a megan racing header. I am looking to maximize my performance with my supercharger. I know it will be loud I just don't want the rasp.

Thats what I was asking about. I want to know if anyone has used cherry bomb glasspacks as resonators and if so how well it worked.

a few question:

1) resonator is for eliminate the rasp?
2) glasspack is only for louder sound but not for eliminate the rasp?
3) double resonator or double glasspak = less HP?
4) how about a glasspack and resonator combo?

I bought a 40" cherry bomb glasspack and I will be installing it after I get my header and s-pipe installed. I want to make sure the fit is good when they make my midpipe. If I can find a way to record a sound clip I will.

I bought a 40" glasspack to use as a resonator. If you buy a muffler shop resonator they are just a glasspack muffler. I will be installing my glasspack with my new custom made midpipe. It will be welded into the midpipe and take up most of the straight section of pipe.

glasspack as a resonator?? i dont get it...

as i understand (wikipedia) the resonator is much better if you dont want rasp than the glasspack...
with the glasspack you gonna have deaper sound...

but yeah.. make a before and after video!!!
