question exhaust and power...?
ok so... i dont want the bumble bee raspy sound like all the little hondas around... i like the 350z sound
i mean im putting 12lb fly wheel and stage 2 clutch injen CAI and NST pulley kit and a short throw shifter! and i understand unless i go F/I that im not gonna get a nice deep solid sound! but does exhaust free up any power? or would i be good just running the CAi and nst pulley kit? and no exhaust? point me towards some exhaust that dont have a rasp in high RPMs it keeps the deep sound or like a pur like a 350z
any other mods to increase power and stay N/A? thanks

HKS hi Power
Agency Axle Back
Skunk 2
Tanabe Concept G (theyve been known to drown out on highway and dies out)
youll never be able to make a tc sound like a 350z... those are the more popular exhausts we all have our personal favorite.
mine is the skunk 2 catback

ull never sound like a 350z/g35 unless u buy a 350z or g35. It wont sound raspy unless u install a header then it starts to rasp bad. exhausts usually wont give u any gains at all jus sound. as far as best sounding its all personal preference alot of them sound different.
agency power
tsudo n1
megan drift spec
skunk 2
all these are catbacks or u can get axlebacks
hks
greddy tic
injen
etc
look up vids on youtube on all these exhaust and choose which one u like the most

to be honest with u bolt on's are mostly for noise. header, exhaust, intake etc. and once u add a header ur gonna rasp bad. ull gain 3-5 hp if ur even lucky. there jus aa waste of money IMO. every1 is different.
ehh i guess th pulley kit will give u sumtype of gain i dk if its tha 7-10 that they advertise though
BUT there is sum1 on here who dyno'd at 167hp with intake, header and axleback exhaust. he gained better then people with full exhausts. stocks dyno at 143hp so that was 24 hp gain ish

nah thats base hp, thats what scion will tell u the car has. but in reality its 143ish to the wheels. header is definatly gonna give u a crazy rasp unless u weld a resonator( a big one) to ur midpipe. injen is a very very good CAI/SRI, imo i jus dont think its worth it for 200 plus bucks.
i have a Ebay intake piping with 3 filters to choose from whenever i get bored lol, injen filter, aem dry flow filter and fujita filter. right now i have the injen filter in and the intake is SRI i refuse to put the CAI part bc of the rain and water and such. i spent 30 bucks for the intake threw out the filter it came wit and spent 20/30 bucks on each filter i have now and everything came out to about 70 for a SRI that performs aswell as the piping of any other company, thats jus my 2 cents though i would never run the ebay filter though aslong as u get new filters and good ones then u should be good. no CEL nothing no problem.
im running megan header spipe and midpipe to stock axleback. to me the rasp doesnt really bother me and its only till about 2k rpms and then it opens up and purrs even with the stock axleback. i had a megan oe-rs but got rid of it and now im looking for a new exhaust but for now the stock is nice cause i love the way it purrs now

hmmm yeh i figured the stock would pur and hats what i want
just a nice purr i dont want the deep then high pitched rasp in high RPMs like the lil Hondas around here! lol but why would ppl get a CAI if the rain will mess up the engine? is there a solution or is it not that big of a deal?

yeah my car purrs not like a g35 or anything more like a rumble and when driving u dont hear it unless u punch on the gas. stock axleback fools people cause then they hear the header and hear it pur nicely.
CAI is suppose to be for "better gains" i choose not to bc ive seen many people (civics and such) get stuck around here bc of there intake, lots of times where it rains real bad so i dont wanna risk it, the CAI goes into the wheel well so that alone to me looked iffy lol its usually never a big deal im jus too chicken sh*t to try it bc my luck sumthing stupid will happen lol there have been people that it has happened to on here but usually its never a big deal. u can get a AEM bypass its suppose to be good if there is a time if water gets in while sucking it up

header I bought a couple of yrs ago aswell as the spipe and midpipe header was 180 shipped spipe 100 and midpipe I bought with the axleback (catback) for 280 I think it was. IMO though I like my setup, MMW and Tsudo header may infact be the best 4-2-1, mine is 4-1 or if not Alphawerks header is also good but hard to come by its also 4-1, yeah man the pur is nice I really like it case when the car is idling no driving or anything its so quiet so its like a sleeper lol. I'm keeping the whole megan them, I have the short throw exhaust etc. been likethat fora few years no. yeah its not the best but I don't wanna get rid of it too lazy and I got everythin for good prices. lmk how it turns out man
4-2-1 meaning the MMW and Tsudo header come with its own downpipe so it starts of with 4 tubes goes into 2 then goes into 1 meaning the down pipe. 4-1 is wat most headers out there have. thats y MMW and Tsudo are a pretty penny lol 300 plus
thats not bad for a new CAI, I heard really good things bout fujita too they go on ebay for lik 190 shipped great intake too.
i dont really know much bout cams, but i dont think there plug and play, i think u need a standalone for them im not sure though. but all u really need since u dont want anything crazy is CAI,Header, exhaust, pulleys and thats it. anything internally well cost lotss more
honestly to go threw and stay NA with cams, port n polished, pistons, bored etc. tahts a pretty penny all on its own. theres sum1 on here that did WORK to the tc tcpete and sum1 else, and they worked the sh*t out of there cars internals etc. and one of them is currently at 187hp? idk what tcpete is at. and i know the other guy spent atleast 5k and up, which that right there is a new turbo u know?
