Default Question: Megan Header Install.......

I was using the guide in the tech area for reference but there are a few issues with the Megan header that don't add up for me.

1: The donut gasket that comes off the stock header does not fit the Megan one. Is this needed for it? If so, where can I get one that is slightly larger than the stock? Or can I just make the stock fit by scraping some off the inside ring?

2: The mounting brackets. Are they needed on the new header? It doesn't say to install them on the DC header so should i assume it is the same with the Megan? Thanks for the input.

yes it is needed all I did was wack the header with a wrench and dent it a little to make it fit

the black metal brackets are needed, just remove the studs and swap it all across

Did you buy the first design Megan Headers???

Bkuz Series 2 comes with the gasket.

The first design was flawed.

I was told it is the series 2. The gasket it came with was the one that replaces the factory gasket at the engine. The one in question is the donut gasket that connects the header to the S-pipe.

Thanks for the help. I should get it in now.

I had to trim the gasket for the second series Megan header to get that gasket to fit... it was a lil' too small, but it works just fine onced trimmed... I Installed the brackets no problem, don't know where that question is a result from???

Following in my footsteps... You should see my baby now! I gots lots of toys!

I will have the new header soon. I wasnt going to worry about it but since I have people willing to help me might as well...plus its a simple way to get rid of those fingerprints that were never wiped off the 1st time
