Default Question....scraping noise?

So i'm away at college now, and my tC has been sitting in my driveway for about three weeks now. I told my dad, to take it out and drive it a bit just to keep it from sitting there.

it turns out it's been three weeks, undriven, and he just decided to drive it for the first time today. he called me and said there was a "scraping" noise like the car was dragging something. He first thought the parking brake was on, but it wasn't. It turns out after a few blocks the noise went away and it seems to be fine now

just curious, what would make that noise? And is it anything to look into? I'm not too car savvy and i wasn't there to hear it so i have no clue. I won't be home for a while and i dont want to worry about my baby at home

ps
dont worry, my tC is being moved to a safe garage location for the winter

Could be just rust on the brake rotors or something maybe? Would explain why it stopped... don't know.

where did the noise come from? could it be that becaues it sat for three straight weeks that all the engine oil settled at the bottem of the engine, so there was some insufficient lubrication in the upper parts of the engine that went away once the oil started circulating?
