Default ran my car open header...

ran my car open header and damn did it run like pure anus...it sounded turbo really cool but waay to sluggish. i raced a SE-R and lost by 2 cars from a 2nd gear roll im gonna race it again with my stock exhaust back on and see what happens!!

it was 12 midnight me and my friends were bored so we decided to do it lol. And i also heard that the car got good numbers open header and i can definately say that is total bs

thats a good way to damage the valves and prolly some other parts... not a good idea. You need to have some back pressure.

i think he meant where the headers connected to the exhaust, he unbolted

and while your at it take the intake off at the throttle body, that be a mean machine!! haha
thats suprising that you ran slower, youd think it be a little quicker... huh
and backpressure????
this is a 2.4 not a 5.8
but ill stop right there because im not going to be responsible for startng a big controversey

I think he might have meant he disconnected the s pipe, not the header from the block, but correct me if I'm wrong hilow

I had my s-pipe unbolted from the header and I had to move the car in my garage (it started raining all of a sudden), I started it up for a few seconds without the s-pipe connected and it was insanely loud.

The reason people add headers in the first place is so the exhaust can be freeeeee. Let it breath. Back in the day, we used to add a bypass valve that would bypass the exhaust and run open headers when pulled. Push it back in and exhauset would be back in line. The 70's were pretty primitive
