Default ready for i/h/e/p

alright i now have the money for i/h/e/ and pulley. I was thinking get this and then slowly save for a year or 2 and get my turbo. My setup im thinking is mazzuri or dc race header, unorthodox racing pulley, skunk 2 or other catback, and injen cai. is this a good setup and will i get a pretty impressive gain from putting all that on at once. thanks

why not skip the i/h and add that to the turbo fund? or get the turbo first and work your way down. it'll be easier since everything you buy will be relatively cheaper from then on.

Don't bother spending the money on the intake and headers if you are planning on getting a turbo. That's $4-500 that could just put aside for the turbo fund right now (assuming you actually have the money and aren't going to finance it on a credit card). If you get the head I/H now, you're just going to have to buy a new intake and exhaust manifold for the turbo (included in kit price usually).

ok get NST pulleys not UO, trust me you will be a lot happier.

(link in sig, nonstoptuning.com)

as for header and intake if you're gonna go turbo i would hold off on those bad boys because you'll just have to get rid of them once you go turbo.

and an exhaust i would recomend would be the Dezod exhaust, flows very well, sounds mean, and looks stock

Just get the exhaust and pulleys now and just save for the turbo. I also heard header = rasp.

Davedave: Which one of dezods exhaust do you have? I'm thinking about going turbo in the future and possibly swapping out my TRD exhaust for dezods s-pipe-back turbo exhaust.

Yea, headers + tC = rasp. I've heard a few that didn't rasp, but the setup was basically header > spipe > resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator > muffler resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator >resonator > resonator > tip

well the reason i wanted i/h/e and stuff is cause i want more power while i save up for a year or more for the turbo. Like i just want the power to hit alot harder in the upper rpms. thats why i was gonna get all this and then start saving for the turbo, from what ive read the i/h/e and pulley will give me a good boost in power so i can hold my own untill i get the turbo. I dunno what do you guys think after i saved up id prolly sell the i/h and keep my exhasut. and whats the best exhasut for soung and power is the skunk2 not that good.

dude.. I am with the crowd.... skp the intake and header.... and go with the auto power exhaust.. its clean.. its sleek.. it puts chicks in a trance and its a real full on exhaust so you wont have to worry about sourcing out whis and that .. its simple bolt and go... and you get a healthy 6hp.. and 10 tq... give or take

well see im a little worried also about gas prices and now might wanna get the i/h/e/p and thats all. cus now the gas prices are going up its 3.15 a gallon in my state and since itll take me a year or more to save for the turbo what if i save all of it and they come out with different powered cars or gas is too much to have a turbo and still drive. know what i mean.

whats that saying? dont boost on a budget?

if you're worried about affording gas while turboed, you might wanna rethink going turbo. any number of things -could- go wrong when you're boosted, and few of them are cheap to fix.

if you're worried about $30 every week or so, might want to reevaluate your build plan.

If you save up for it and you find another car you'd rather have then just trade in the tc and use what extra money you have as a down payment. I know thats saying a lot but you have a lot of options to weigh out before you go boost.
