Redline MT90 question
So I did the redline MT90 gear oil change out today... Awesome feel to the shifting.
I drained the stock gear lube out (man that stuff reaked), and then put in just over 2.5 quarts (I eyeballed it... didnt figure it was a huge deal).
So, all is good... However - I have 1 question. I was looking in the drain pan, and i noticed a few very very small metal flakes in my stock tranny lube that I drained out.
There werent very many of the flakes at all, and they were VERY VERY small flakes.
I am assuming that this is just from the initial break in?? OR should I be worried??

I'm not sure but I would say if you could, drive about 1,000 miles and drain it again to see. If it still has the same amount of shavings then maybe something is wrong. Just a guess though.
Well, i'd rather not do that since i just put in Redline MT-90...
It really wasnt bad. a few flakes that were very very small. I've not had any problems with the transmission at all, i'm not too worried.
I guess i just wanted to hear somebody else tell me "Yes, thats ok - its normal".
