Removed Mid-Pipe: Test results
I removed the factory midpipe from my tC over the weekend to test at the local drag strip.
I am running a factory intake, s-pipe and header.
First off i must say that deep rumble sound was more than I expected. There was no rasp at all, just a deep loudass rumble. People at the track were comming up to me asking what I had in it.
Interesting that the 1st cat in the factory manifold created enough backpressure for me to actually improve my times by more than a quarter second.
In the eighth mile, on a hot saturday night. I ran a flat 10 second time. A whole .3 less that the last time I was there running a K and N (which I no longer have).
Total time to remove/install the pipe was 15 minutes. Overall, it was just a fun test for me and I enjoyed the temporary deep rumble that the stock tC provided.
