Default which resonator for custom

so i just bought an hkd carbon ti muffler cause i love the cf look and they sound legit. i used to have a drift spec and i loved it so i wanna get as close to that sound, a nice deep rumble. I know the drift spec had 1 responator on it so im gonna get one. im getting custom piping for the catback obviously and probably a megan s pipe.

so my question is what kind of resonator and what size should i get to get closest to that sound? this is my first time dealing with resonators

with a header and exhaust, you need about 30 inches worth of resonating.

to be honest, I don't think the brand of resonators matters that much.

Nobody is going to agree with me and they are going to say go with an aero25.
theone thing I will say however, is stay away from cherrybombs

I would go with a Vibrant Ultra Quiet but that's just me. There is no need to get 8 feet worth of resonators, that's just insane. You won't be able to hear anything at all at that point. You don't want a bunch of hotdog style resonators cluttering up your midpipe. I would go with the vibrant ultra quiet and go from there.

aero25 is only like 12" and its not enough to take away rasp by itself.. for its size it does a good job, it does about same job as my 18" vibrant resonator..

there are different types of resonator and some have thicker material in theme, like the vibrant ultra quiet.. you dont want really long resonator you might wanna buy a thicker one

True, but I don't think rasp should be that big of a concern in this case. If all he wants is to quiet down the exhaust a little bit, I think putting in a bunch off big ___ ones in there will be over kill.

I guess it all just depends on the owner and the taste.

i would get a header but the rasp is just killing it for me. for some reason people that do have good setups dont ever post videos or show videos of how it sounds from the outside.

Magnaflow shouldn't be in the equation if you want a resonator that doesn't clutter your midpipe.

most if not all vids and sound clips you find will always suck with sound.. they dont do justice.. i havent heard of any nice sounding exhaust anywhere on you tube, they always suck than what they really sound.. it takes some pro editing to get those sound clips right
