I went to the muffler shop today looking for a resonator and he gave me the option of two resonators.

1. Magnaflow 23"
2.Magnaflow 40"

From my understanding, the bigger the resonator the quieter itll be. I have an HKS Carbon-Ti and its kinda loud and a bit raspy. i wanna make it quieter but still noticeable. Which resonator do you reccomend?

 

Id go for the 40!

 

Since the HKS muffler you have is straight through, id go 40".

Bigger is better when chosing a resonator. 40" is really big and may not even fit right. I have a 30" on mine and its perfect...a 40" might be a little overkil but if its the only option than go with it.

 

I installed a 30" resonator made by a company called walker. The sound from inside went down drastically to the point where driving is reasonable and not that noisy.

 

How much did these resonators run you?

 

If it fits I would go with the 40"

 

I got my 30" installed for $105 and have no complaints. I think a 40" would be too large and start to become a little restrictive.
