Default Review: DME Header

Well i just got my DME headers yesterday !

They came well packed in bubble wrap etc.
The weld are good, thick metal, stainless steel, it's a nice product
It came with a new gasket (not a metal one), so i reuse my OEM one
they included a CEL fix, (anti-fouler type)

the power seems to be more progressive since it's 4-1 type. But it definitively free up some tq, you can smoke tire easily in first and second gear.
***UPDATE***
after few more run i realize that it pull real hard from 5K to cut off, definitively where the biggest gain is.
***

the header got braket on the lower flange, but you can't use the OEM motor->header support if your have a 07+ tC, the braket is to use with 05-06 stock header support.

here's some pics:

difference between the CEL fix they included and the DIY Anti-Fouler

installed but hasn't run yet, they became a nice yellowish chrome when heated

difference in clearance

it free up some space and seems to dissipate heat much better

I've used the Anti-fouler on the secondary O2 sensor, and it didnt work
i've got a 07 tC
it worked fine on idle the 10 first minute, but then when i took it for a ride .1 miles later it popped a CEL light

the header sound great, the car is not louder when you drive it normally but when you flour it's just loud enough. a little high whine between 3k and 3.5k but beside that its ok.

I do not have other mod

Video for sound clip

I have an 07 with the DME. fits just fine. The only problem is that the stock brakets to mount the header to the engine don't fit. Not necessary though, header is solid with no movement.

the bigger power is definitively in High-end
it seems to have a dead spot between 2.5k and 3k till the torque seems to start later on the band, but I/H/E would remedy this for sure

i got a DME last week also but i have a wrapped C.A.I., megan down pipe and mid pipes but removed my TRD exahaust and it kicks hard but has good rasp at w.o.t. so im waiting for my resonator to come in. i used the gasket it came with but mine didn't come with a antifouler so i got one from "inlikeflint" and have not had a cell at all.

We have been running the DME header on our car for a couple of months now and we are very pleased with it, it was N/A at first, but now the tC is S/C and its a great compliment to the S/C. If you want an anti-fouler that works, contact this member: InLikeFlint, he sells one that actually works. BTW...we are having a special on DME headers right now, $300 shipped, if anybody is interested, please PM me for details, thank you.

Installed mine today..too loud for my taste..cant go past 2k rpms without some rasp. Already have a magnaflow res. but im going to add another one. Gains are pretty nice tho, especially in the top end.

89db,

Where did you get your DME header?

Thanks

Btw does anyone know how much better MMW is compared to this header? My debate is still between those two.

i got it from ebay !cheap price...
MMW would give you power in middle range since its a 4-2-1 design ! if it were not so pricey it would be nice but over 400$ for a header i personally think its over price... but those guy did good R&D , but keep in mind that Alphawerks was 600$ and DME is 300$ shipped for the exact same headers
