Default S-pipe problems! PLEASE HELP!

I just recently received my creative compacts s-pipe and I have a problem. I installed it with only one slight problem with one of the exhaust flanges getting alittle stripped. I still got it in to the best of my ability. When I drove the car and pushed the throttle, it made this loud airy clicking sound. That is the best way I can describe the awful sound. It came from the connect between the header and the s-pipe. It also emits this funky smell. I amd not sure if it is a leak or what. Does anyone have this s pipe that can help with this problem! You guys are very good at helping with small problems. Oh by the way, I have the DC headers if that makes a difference.

you may have to retap the flange and get a new bolt. if you do make sure you get metric taps/bolts

I was looking at it today and I feel that I need a new bolt. I am not sure about having to retap it just yet. Do you think a auto store would have a bolt for my tc?

I agree, instead of continuing to mess with it and possibly making it worse, I would just take it to a muffler shop and hope they can fix it for you. When I got my header and s-pipe installed, I took it to a friends shop, he trew it on the lift and used air tools, that made the job so much easier. I don't think I would have been able to install it on my own unless I had air tools. Just my .02 cents thou.

Yeah...I have done this on other cars...failed to use the torque wrench because it was still in the tool box and I was under the car, so I said, 'eh, it'll be alright'. Turned the wrench and snap, the bolt broke, or just stripped all the threads. It is a pain, but I would suggest you take it to an exhaust stop and have them just do it up. Takes them a couple of minutes.
