Well, if you don't buy a universal high flow cat, then you will never get one. You sound like a baby. "If they don't make it, I dont want it " ALL HIGH FLOW CATS ARE UNIVERSAL! They don't make them for the tC specifically. And it isn't gonna give you 1-2hp. It is just less restrictive than a regular cat...

And what I meant about the Weapon R header is this, that some of the runners might hit the shaft of the S/C since they are made by hand. Not that it doesn't work good...

oook, but i mean other cars have high flow cats specifically made for it, like my dads focus svt has one already made and ready to install, i just dont dig the customizing it a little part to get it to fit...i am a baby when it comes to my car, im only 19 and dont plan to buy another one for 6 or 7 years, lol

Ok, well get over it and deal with it. Not every part has been made for the tC. You don't customize a high flow cat. You cut off the OEM one, and then put the high flow on. Simple, done and done.

lol regardless if its named for a specific vehicle or not, they are installed the same way.. they cut the oem cat section and weld the new one.. plain and simple, there is no bolt on cat con.. Unless a cat is designed to be installed in a specific vehicle where fitment will be an issue for universal which I highly doubt on the tc.. there is always adequate space for cat in any vehicle

no, not even with a catless exhaust.. gain is so small to notice, unless maybe you have some forced induction

So the question still stands ..... do you buy the cat from meineke or do you order a high flow cat online ..... or does meineke sell high flow cats?

any good muffler or Hot rod shop will make you an exhaust..........for instance if I wanna use the Megan Header but I do not want a CEL or the stench of sulfer I goto the shop with my header on.......and have them make me a new pipe after it with a universal HF cat welded on.........emissions state it has to be on the car........just does not say where........at least here in Washington.............problem is the cat needs to be close to the header as high flows work better at higher temps........and there is not a lot of room onthe s pipe and frame area............

Upside is motor will look better and perform better..........also wrap your header if you install a HF cat to keep heat going out exhaust..........

Hot rodders do this with their cars all the time...........

Also you can install the header and take the S pipe and goto ashop and tell them you want a cat put on right at such and such location..........they dont care what car it is for........they are making money............just measure good.......use cardboard to mock up a cat onthe pipe where it can fit and then take the pipe to be modded.

Well I had the megan driftspec exhaust attached to an alphawerks header and it was performing well, but i was sick of the noise, and the rocket megan exhaust, so i went to my local exhaust shop and put a magnaflow resonator 15'' and a nice high flow cat all in the midpipe, to a borla muffler, to a nice 5 inch tip, all 2.5 inch piping. I dynod at 170whp b4 the high flow cat install, which is impressive and i did 3 pulls each one came out around the same. The high flow cat increased performance in my opinion because do to running catless you lose tons of backpressure thus loosing some initial torque, and w/ the hi flo cat intial acceleration is improved drasticaly and w/ the alphawerks header the top end is great. so you can be a noob and be catless n/a but trust me, hi flow cats up performance and make the car sound sleepy yet sporty.

you would still want some back pressure, the s/c does not touch teh exhaust system. Turbo's once again dont need back pressure because that what it is its a fan in ur exhaust pushign the air back. A tC w/ all those mods w/ 1 high flow cat and a small resonator would sound great. people freak out when they think of having a cat in their car, the difference between a high flow cat and a cat is rather significant, thers not really any loss in hp, but you get a nice gain in torque, and you dont sound like a noob.
