I recently just installed a short shifter and during the install the little clip that holds the shifter felt into a hole under the shift cage.. Do you guys no where I can get an replacement??

which little clip? is it the metal one that looks like a washer were you have to hammer it back in or one of the ones that look like a letter "c" sort of that just snaps in around that plastic ring thing that goes over the shfiter ball?? i know, im bad at explaining lol...

 

Its not the black clip the is a pain to remove the u shaped one that goes on the ball on the bottom and not that one that sticks out to the left.. You get it? Lol

 

oh ok the little u shaped one that goes on the little ball right by that hole that it fell into, right?? im sure u can order a new one... let me check real quick to see if i can find a place that sells it...

i wasnt able to find just that clip but the whole shiftcage and shifter assembly itself... i'd say go to the dealership and ask if they can give you that clip, or go to the junk yard and take it off a junk tC... it shouldnt cost more that a dollar for that little clip...

or have you tried to get one of those magnetic pens to try to get it out of that hole??

 

I haven't tried the magnetic pen.. I've tried junk yard but no junk yards around here has tc's.. I'll try the dealer next.. Thx for your help bro

 

I've seen those at home depot, lowes, autozone, pepboys, not sure if they all sell them, but I know I've seen it in one of those stores, good luck, I'm sure the dealer can order you one as well.
