Default Short Ram Intake Suggestions...

So I did some research, and I think that I want a Short Ram Intake. My question is, what brand do you like for the money? If I am going to drop the cash, I want to know it's worth my investment. I drive an 06 tC.

Thanks!

get an injen, so when you want to suck in cooler air instead of the warmer air that your SRI will be sucking in, you can make it a CAI.

Injen is good, I have a CAI from them. personally I think the filter is the most important piece of the system. I think you could get an ebay intake, but put a good K&N or Injen filter on it and you should be good. Not sure if the short rams throw a CEL or not, but that could be a difference between ebay and Injen as well

How do you do this? By adding a pipe or something? And if i get a injen CAI, can i turn it into a SRI?

the injen intake comes with both of the pipes. you just attack the 2nd piece to make it a CAI.

Will this eBay SRI throw a CEL on a 2007+ tC?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHROM...Q5fAccessories

If this would work with my tC ('09) and throw a new filter on there, I'd be very happy.

meh, that one looks kinda iffy, shape doesnt look right and they dont show the MAF

i'd go with something more like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...n%3D3%26ps%3D5

can be a short or cold air and would fit the year

Yeah, I didn't notice the strange shape to the short ram I listed, but it does look like it's missing a bend. Thanks for the feedback.

i bought a ebay intake for 30 bucks kept the short ram part and bought 2 different filters for it an AEM dryflow filter and a Injen filter spent bout 40 on them so all in all i spent 70 bucks for a short ram intake with GOOD filters. no porblems 3 yrs later no CEL no nothing. i dont really see the point of spending 300 bucks for a intake when u can do eaxtly wat i did and still have the same "performance" as others considering the most important thing is the filter
