Not a big fan of weapon R to be honest, and I want an actually short ram. I understand the Injen is both as I installed that on my girls ride. But i'd love to have just an actual short ram. Maybe a lil cheaper in price too ?

Ebay ones do good for many people, but as soon as my friend added one for his truck, it backfired like crazy. took it off. ran fine. i'd rather spend the money i think for a name brand. this is my problem. im so damn picky. haha
Well it is just my opinion but I cant see spending over 200 dollars on a short ram intake I mean there really isnt much to it anyway, just some mandrel bent pipe and a filter and a hook up for vacuum line and maf sensor. Not really to complicated. If you want better performance put aem dryflow filter on it for another 40 bucks.

ugh yeah i understand that. i dont want two pipes. i want an actually short ram intake. i do know the difference. i want a short ram intake. not a cold air. thanks
If you remove seccond pipe it is a real short ram intake I DONT think you do know what you are talking about. It is no different from any other short ram air intake you could buy once the other pipe is removed.

ugh yeah i do understand it. I just put one on my girls eclipse. made by injen. I understand u dont put the lower pipe on, instead u put the filter on. I get it. not very difficult. but im trying to figure if there would be a price difference because if it costs more for two pipes, i dont wanna pay for the cold air as i will not use it much around here. Do you understand?
I would not be against an ebay short ram intake. But if you are going to get it, buy a QUALITY filter. I can't stress that enough. Other than the installation being done right and making sure that you have the right year so the MAF sensor matches and has a snug fit, the filter is of utmost importance. And for the filter, I suggest an AEM dryflow air filter. I would throw one of those on the car regardless of whether or not you buy an ebay intake, injen, weapon r, or K&N. It is an oilless filter. It runs cleaner and doesn't risk damaging your MAF. You can get it for like $40-45. www.cardomain.com sells them. Just go on the website and do a search in the store (free shipping too). (The free shipping takes a while though)
I've got the Injen SRI on because winter's coming up and I don't feel like spending time converting it.
Add in my Injen exhaust, open up the throttle, and you get a terribly addictive engine roar.
