i went with B&M. i had a B&M on my celica when i had it. what i like about their shifters is that the upper rod height is about the same as the stock shifter. i'm not a huge fan of the super short ones. i definitely recommend getting a counterweighted **** though.

Doc I short shifter is the best choice, it's custom made so you can choose the amount of height reduction to your liking. :D

for they short shifters do they require much more effort to shift then with the stock set-up? Ive used b&m in the patss and it was a great shifter but this is for my trucks..and let me tell you the thing drastically shortens the shift but is hard as hell to shift..the nature of the shifter is differant though because it goes directly into the tranny. So how is it with the tc? I would like shorter throughs as well but the tc is my firts "tuner" and i bought it a a daily for my girl..hate for her to dislike the shifter.

the doc I isnt much harder, he can make you one with the shortened throws but keep it the stock height. I got a 2 inch reduction and it takes a bit more effot but it isn't noticable after a day of driving.

you're not going to find a short throw that's as easy to shift as stock, but a counterweighted shift **** makes a big difference.
