Default Short Shifter Question

I bought and installed the cc short shifter. It feels much better now and the shifts are great. However I had one quetion while the extra effort in shifting doesnt bother me I was wondering if it could potentialy damage the drivetrain. The extra effort it takes to throw the shifts could it do damage to the gears and other parts?

Also in the cc shift kit it came with 4 purple round looking things, the twm short shifter install guide didnt have them so what are they for?

The tightness you feel is in that white shifter housing, not the drivetrain. You should be fine.

Thanks. Any Idea what the four purple things are for? Are they bushings maybe?

Those sound like bushings to go under the shifter base to possibly raise it up higher or to firm up the shifter feel by removing the rubber bushings that come from the factory.

^^hmm... erik is right, but i think it's also to raise the shift housing so you get stock height

it's too much of a bother to install them... i left them in the box for my buddy.

As they said, they are simply risers to bring the shifter closer to a stock height if you do not like the shortness.
