Default Short Shifter Question

I've looked over the short shifter sticky and did some searching but can't seem to find anything. I'm curious if there are any short shifter kits on the market that come with the plastic shift assembly, instead of just th shift rod. The only short shifter i've ever had experience with was a RevoSS in my 02 civic, which looks like this:

If i'm not mistaken, i think the TRD quickshifter kit comes with the assembly, but are there any others out there. I looked over the DIY on the installation of the TWN stage 2 and i'm just very worried about pulling it all apart. Not that i couldn't do it, just rather have an easier way.

The TRD is the only one I'd "trust" that comes with the housing. There is some "JDM" short shifter on eBay that looks like it comes with the housing.

yes i've seen the ebay shifter to and don't think i have the baiis to try it. but its really not hard to do yourself just be prepared to take you time and know that you probably will take chunks of the plastic out during the process. but it doesn't hurt the shifters performance any. just be patient and take your time.

^ Ditto. It's not as painful as you'd think. There is a good DIY here on the site in the Tech section that works for any shifter. And if you have questions on the install after going through that, feel free to PM me. I installed the CC shifter on my tC and my g/f's. We both love it.

Which ****? The one that comes with the CC shifter isn't really the greatest, but that shouldn't stop you from buying a shifter if you think you'll like it. You can still use your OEM ****.

My short shifter came with an ugly ****. The numbers were actually painted in pink. The package the **** came in said KIA!!!!! Oh yea, did I forget to mention that it didn't even fit the rod. Didn't really mind though. The Rep I spoke to at HOS told me what it was and I had already purchased a MOMO **** that looks way better than the one that comes with ARK's short shifter. No disrepect to ARK especially since they are throwing it in for free and I payed $65 for mines.

i didn't get the CC, I ended up getting the HOS. I don't think the shortshifters are that different from each other. just height is the difference. many of these short shifters copy each other. just my opinion.

Yea the shifter rod is easy to make for companies, so why not make money. They all do the same thing, just different heights and throws. They are all made of the same material as well.

eBay or name brand will work.

this is the MOMO Shift **** I speak so highly about.

Only PROBLEM is that now I have the MOMO label branded into my palm, since it gets so hot in Miami, FL. LOL
