Default Short Shifter question...

So last weekend i installed the B&M short throw shifter, as well as brass shifter cable bushings.

I noticed today looking into my car from behind that it looks like my shifter is slightly tilted to the right (passenger side).

I don't notice a difference in the feel, and i dont have any problems getting into any gear.
The shifter does not have any free movement, and i'm pretty confident that the install was correct.

So, my question is: short throw shifter owners, does the changed pivot point make your shifter veer a little bit towards the passenger side instead of being completely straight??

Thx in advance.

Forgot to say: this is when my car is in neutral.

Neutral position of shifter is slightly veered right (towards passenger side). just want confirmation that it is normal for short throw shifter. :-)

as long as it's not loose in neutral... swinging back and forth, left and right?

should be fine.

it could because of the bushings. i'd go back and just make sure that everythings flush and fully tightened. if so, i wouldnt see anything to worry about so long that it's not affecting performance.

My shifter is still tight in neutral... feels good.

And yeah im sure i put the spring back in correctly..

When i was installing my brass shifter cable bushings i had to kind of reem on the horizontal cable in order to get the bushing back over the pin. My friend said that he could see my shifter moving when i was doing that. I wonder if i pulled on it a little too hard?
