Default Smaller Injen CAI Filter...

I've noticed some other SL members have picked up on the fact that the air filter on the Injen CAI for the '07-'08 CAI is smaller than the filter on the '05-'06 Injen CAI.

Here are pics from Injen's website:

'05-'06 (Notice the bigger air filter)

'07-'08

Injen lists the part numbers different for the filters as well and if you look at the instructions on the website you can also see the filter for the '07-'08 is smaller.

I was just wondering why they made it smaller and if it affects performance and does it matter at all?

NA econobox 4 cylinder, either will work, it's not like the cars need huge amounts of air flow.... like say, a big power Supra.

Smaller filter always equals more power. Unless the filter is blue, blue always equals more power than red and smaller filter size combined. Unless the filter is gree....
