Default "Sneaky Pete" .. waste of money?

Hi guys,

I just found out about this cute little bottle.. http://www.prostreetonline.com/x/nos...-pete-kits.asp

hahaha, how many uses can you get out of it? can you even purge it without draining the tank?

also, would it be safe to run a 50 shot dry with the nitrous injected AFTER the MAF sensor?

aite thanks

the "sneaky pete" system has been out for a long time, i first seen it in a muscle car mag when i was a teenager.........crap that made me sound old....lol
its just a great way to hide your nitrous if you wanna go stealth........other than that i dont really know much about it.

This seems more practical for huffing than it does for cheating.

i dont know, muscle cars have been hiding this bad boy under their seats for years so i think it might be good for someone not wanting others to see what they got up their sleeves.

as the saying goes, in racing,t ehre are two types of people, cheaters and losers...

but a tenth of a second, i assume that is for 1/4 mile times right? sounds like it could mess up your engine since it is after the maf sensor, it won't compensate, and you'll lean out right?

You don't need tiny bottles to hide nitrous, especially in new cars. Put it where the spare tire is and bam, instant full size "sneaky" nitrous.

And no, if you were to get rear ended you wouldn't explode.

The sneaky pete is not designed for EFI cars, they are made for carburated vehicles. If you use it on our cars you will lean out, but this type of bottle is only good for a few second burst anyway and that's it. If you are seriously interested in Nitrous Oxide, go with a good quality EFI kit from Zex or Nitrous Express. Just remember- it's nothing as dramatic like in the movies. You're not going to instantly go 200 mph shooting 3 foot flames out your exhaust once you flip a switch.

That only will happen if your diamond plated floor is about to fall off of the car.

Ya, whipits rocked back in the day!

Unfortunately automotive nitrous has additives (sulfur, iirc) specifically to discourage people from huffing it.

yeah, fast and furious was a major event in car culture. it really got me interested into the concept of taking a car with a small 4 cyl engine and making it into a 10 second car (though i didn't know what that meant the first time i saw it.

like it or not, the attraction to custom cars was largely becaus of those movies, and because of that, we have scions.
