Why Short Ram? Why not go cold air, it makes more power. Fujita works great and is cheaper than the others. You even get free stuff in the box as a bonus!

 

Injen or Fujita, but as Guru mentioned, Fujita is cheaper and is still a great brand. Also can't forget about freebies!

If you really think about it, there is absolutely NO difference between the air temperate between SRI and CAI. You have a pipe running right next to the engine, which generates a lot of heat, and the "cold air" that's bought up from under the car just gets heated by the engine block next to the piping. Also, on warm or hot days, the CAI just sucks up the heat radiating from the asphalt and makes the air you're sucking in only hotter. The only true difference between the two forms is when the power kicks in. SRI is typically for low RPM power and the CAI for high.

 

Actually the cold airs are beneficial not because of temperature changes but rather the resonance that the longer pipe creates. A cold air intake generates more midrange by "tuning" that resonance in the intake tract.

to answer the OP's question, SRI would be Weapon R. But there is a new SRI available, I think it's called AFE.

 

i had had injen CAI then converted it to a SRI, Love the SRI more. :D

hmm alot of people say cai is better and others just say sri is good too i just want the sri i cuz its not a hassle to clean when its dirty and stuff and well hydro lock is not really a problem for me cuz it never rains here..and cuz u get better throttle response..but on a cold air u gotta push it to feel power and im not going to be pushing my car all the time cuz there alot of cops here so i just want something normal and casual and easy..so ima go with sri.thanks guys

 

yep another bonus for SRI, easy access for cleaning the filter.

I have a injen sri that i got from a friend it came off a camry. Same motor just different mounting points. It fits nice thanks to a wire tie and some thick foam padding and doesnt move around or throw a cel.

less worry about hyrolock, easier to clean, sounds better, better throttle response, and cheaper if you just buy a sri.
