Default Stinger exhaust, lllove it

Okay this weekend i decided that i am going to do my own exhaust, after taking off my muffler i found that my car did sound quite awesome, even though there are those on this site who think a throaty rumble sounds like "a dead cow farting" and would prefer a raspy high pitched blender noise. So i welded up a straight pipe (no muffler just pipe from the axle back) in all it costed about $40 i am more than happy with it, more power, better sound, and puts all those ricer to shame when i rev next to their blenders.

Sound clip please!

Got any pic?

Want to do it but is worried about too much noise to annoy my neighbour and attract highway donut eater.

I don't see how your ghetto exhaust puts anyone to shame but yourself.

I am sick of this bull____. I did the same thing to my car and it sounds great. NOT RICE
example:
2ndgear.mp3
just because its CHEAP doesn't mean it's fcking rice... GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEADS PEOPLE

a muffler is ment to muffle the sound... it is actually also a resrictor and weighs quite a few pounds. This car is so dam quiet anyways, with the muffler off, its as loud (inside) as my dad's miata with a borla muffler...

I think it sounds great! Kutsuju_dj he took the muffler off and put on a straight pipe. Id bet thats alot less restrictive and gives a good extra bit of power.

Actualy, his the dump exhaust would free up some HP. From what I understand, our mufflers are pretty restrictive and so removing it from the equation would add more power than stock. I doubt it would be as much as a full cat-back but on the other hand it's only $40.

once i got my injen i looked at the inside of the muffler and it is basicly a straight pipe but it is made to look like a muffler so i guess it would sound alot like the injen

Sounds great! You really don't have to spend $600+ on exhaust that would sound the same or worse. If it sounds good and frees up HP it has nothing to do with rice...some people on this thread are either dumb or posting just to raise post count.

Personally I am spending $ on exhaust...titanium...when it comes out.

i've done this too... well not exactly, i haven't put on a straight pipe yet.

IMO it sounds pretty good, not ricey at all, you really have to hear it in person to understand why someone would do it.

I hate the word rice, you guys use it wayyyy too much, in my opinion, a lot of you guys who "hate rice" have paid way too much for things you could have done for a lot cheaper if you weren't too lazy or just too stupid to do it yourself. I agree whole-heartedly with cq107, just because a mod doesn't cost a lot of money does not mean it's "rice". I've spent at most 200 dollars on my car and could beat out most of you "rice" haters in a show anyday.

(boy am i gonna get ____ for this)a rice is pretty much a japenease car, with a few exeptions. not dont get my wrong, i love my toyota... but in a way(if your driving a scion or toyota) its kinda like a ricer, and im sure the people that posted saying that guys muffler that he made was a ricer probally have other mods that make your car more riced out than his. i think he deserves some respect for doing it himself

What??

Don't speak so "matter of fact"-ly when you have no idea what you're talking about.
